Torquay Tourism Think Tank Luncheon
Kurrambee Myaring Community Centre
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
This is YOUR invitation to an exclusive 'Torquay Tourism Think Tank' facilitated by Torquay Commerce and Tourism to be held on Friday 12th October at the Kurrambee Myaring Community Centre. The Think Tank session includes a delicious lunch and is invitation only. We have invited the movers and shakers in the Torquay tourism sector. It will be a snappy two hour session where we will specifically discuss and identify key actions moving forward that include: Is tourism one dimensional in Torquay? Do we rely too much on the surfing industry as a key tourism attraction? Do too many visitors bypass Torquay? If so, how do we get them to stop, stay and spend? As a business community are we united in our identity and vision for Torquay and the visitor economy? Do we use all of our natural and man-made assets adequately and to their fullest potential? Is it possible for our business community to work together to create the best tourist destination all year round? And indeed, do Torquay businesses want that? What have we missed – are there other key factors that need consideration? We want to hear your opinions and not only that we want real action to take place. You will be key to this and your voice will be heard. Will you join us? Please register via the link on this page to secure your spot which includes a delicious lunch. This event is complimentary and is sponsored by Torquay Commerce and Tourism – your business voice in Torquay. Business confidence is a unique barometer for economic activity; it is the measurement of what businesses think is going to happen in the future relative to where they are now. Therefore business confidence reports are one of the few forward projecting data sets available to the business community.              What do the results show? Come and be a part of a dynamic discussion with Simon Loone and Gretchen Gibson around the results of this recent business survey conducted by the Surf Coast Shire.   This event is proudly supported by: Surf Coast Times    Not a member of Torquay Commerce and Tourism?  Become a member NOW to commence receiving benefits and opportunities immediately!

Business success requires you to focus more time ‘on’ not ‘in’ your business. This powerful session will look to identify common challenges faced by SME's, share our 2018 SME Research Report data, provide a snapshot of business concerns, Identify "Calls to Action" to address these concerns and look to identify emerging trends. Attendees will also be provided a free business risk survey that will provide a quick summary of how their business looks in terms of risk and may provide ideas for where to focus their time on in the future.
